CARRYING THE TORCH
| Schools that have obtained the Carrying the Torch status have demonstrated that they have a comprehensive and accountable school counseling program, aligned to Indiana School Counselor and Student Standards, as well as national standards (ASCA). Participating schools and school counseling programs will implement a plan that includes the establishment of a program vision and mission, data-based accountability, standards-driven student guidance activities, counseling and advocacy, program management, the alignment of resources and an annual improvement plan. Indiana is one of six states in the nation to earn reciprocity with ASCA’s RAMP program for the Carrying the Torch to Student Success Comprehensive School Counseling Initiative! Schools who successfully complete our Gold Level programming qualify for RAMP recognition as well!
